ASCI Launches One-Year PG Diploma in Sustainable Collectives Management with Tribhuvan Sahkari University Affiliation

Hyderabad, July 7 : The Administrative Staff College of India  has launched a one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Collectives Management , affiliated with Tribhuvan Sahkari University, an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India. Tribhuvan Sahkari University was formerly known as the Institute of Rural Management Anand .

The programme comes at a time when India is strengthening its cooperative movement, Farmer Producer Organisations and rural enterprises through several initiatives of the Ministry of Cooperation. The programme is expected to strengthen the availability of professionally trained managers for India’s expanding cooperative and producer organisation ecosystem.

The course is intended for graduates, development professionals and practitioners interested in careers in cooperatives, Farmer Producer Organisations , social enterprises and rural development. It combines classroom learning with field-based practical exposure in cooperatives, producer companies, agribusiness and food value chains.

The programme will be led by Mrs. V. Usha Rani, IAS Retd, Director at the Centre for Agriculture and Rural Development , ASCI.

“India’s cooperative and producer organisation ecosystem requires professionally trained managers who understand both development and enterprise. This programme has been designed to address that need through academic learning and field practice,” said Mrs. V. Usha Rani, IAS (Retd.), Programme Director.
