Thane, 13th December 2023, Killekars celebrated a remarkable milestone in its journey, marking the tenth year of its annual Prize Distribution Ceremony held at KORUM MALL, Thane. The event not only commemorated a decade of fostering creativity but also highlighted the continuous support from esteemed partners such as Kalpataru, Thane Smart City Team, and Thane Municipal Corporation, all of whom have been instrumental in championing the cause of Heritage awareness, particularly for the preservation of Maharashtra’s historic forts.
The occasion served as a platform for the younger generation, often engrossed in screens, to express their thoughts and display their innovations through various competitions. Drawing, Essay (handwritten), Rangoli, and the traditional Mud Fort building during Diwali were among the engaging competitions that drew participation.
In collaboration with Thane Smart City Team, Killekars introduced the “Smart Society Contest,” a novel competition highlighting environmental and waste management initiatives undertaken by residential complexes. This initiative aimed to encourage sustainable practices and foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment.
What sets Killekars apart is its ability to transcend geographical boundaries, attracting participants not only from the local community but also from other parts of India such as Kolkata, Chennai as well as on a global scale in Dubai.

One of the unique aspects of the event was the active participation of senior citizens, who graciously shared their experiences and imparted a touch of wisdom to the entire affair.
The highlight of the ceremony was the felicitation of participants and winners by the CEO of Smart City Thane and Additional Commissioner Sandeep Malvi. Accompanying him was his wife, Archana Sandeep Malvi and Anagha Poojari, Head of CSR at Kalpataru graced the occasion.
