New Delhi, Sept 02: LAVA, the Indian smartphone brand, is expanding its presence in the UK with the launch of the AGNI 4N, in partnership with SW Network, in a bold campaign that brings together some of the UK’s biggest creator voices to take an Indian smartphone brand to a global audience.
Created by SW Network, the campaign is led by a film set inside a fictional “SAM Survivors Support Group”, where a group of young people come together to share their experiences with a smartphone that has, quite literally, tested their patience. Featuring prominent UK creators Deji Olatunji, Harry Pinero, Max Khadar, Joe Weller and Cariad Ryan, the film uses exaggerated yet relatable stories to build towards the support group discovering the LAVA AGNI 4N and deciding it might finally be time to move on.
Speaking about the brief and the agency’s approach, Raghav Bagai, Co-founder, SW Network, said, “The brief was to introduce AGNI 4N to a new audience in the UK and communicate its strengths in a way that didn’t feel like a conventional smartphone campaign. We wanted to find a simple human insight that could give us a strong creative platform and make the product naturally part of the story. That led us to the idea of looking at the everyday frustrations people have learned to live with and turning them into something entertaining.”
For LAVA, the campaign marks a significant step in its expansion into the UK market, bringing an Indian smartphone brand together with some of the market’s biggest creator names.
Puravansh Maitreya, Head Marketing, LAVA International Limited, said, “As Lava enters the UK market, we wanted to introduce the brand with transparency and relatability. The campaign reflects the true essence of our brand persona, consumer-first, confident and setting out to change the experience quotient in the mid-tier segment. The AGNI 4N is designed to give consumers an experience free of compromise, and this campaign brings that thought alive in a way that is easy to comprehend, with a little fun.”
Shubham Chawla, Business Head, Youthbeat, added, “Over the last two years, we’ve seen a significant shift in the global creator ecosystem, with YouTube emerging as a major platform of choice for creators worldwide. For this campaign, we wanted to go a step further and bring together some of the UK’s biggest and most distinctive creative voices. Their understanding of humour, character and storytelling helped us translate the idea into a world that feels recognisably British while remaining universal. The scale of the talent also reflects the ambition behind taking an Indian brand to a global audience.”
Bringing the concept to life was Banana in a Suit (BIAS Studios), which handled the production of the campaign. With a deliberately exaggerated premise at its centre, the film called for a balance of humour, character and the slightly absurd world of a fictional support group without losing its relatability.
Jaunty, Producer and Director at Banana in a Suit (BIAS Studios), said, “The idea gave us a lot of room to play with character and performance. Shooting in London with a UK cast helped us ground the support group in a world that felt authentic and instantly recognisable. At the same time, working on the ground in London gave us the opportunity to bring together local talent and a global production.”
The campaign is being amplified across the UK through influencer-led videos, OOH placements and social media, extending the film’s humour and product story across multiple consumer touchpoints.
