New Delhi, July 7: Hansraj College, University of Delhi, successfully organised Campus Connect 2026, a two-day admission outreach initiative on July 6 and 7, 2026, aimed at familiarising prospective students and their parents with the College’s academic ecosystem, admission process, and vibrant campus life ahead of the University of Delhi undergraduate admissions.

The programme witnessed an overwhelming response, with hundreds of students and parents participating in interactive sessions, admission guidance, and guided campus tours. The initiative provided aspirants with an opportunity to engage directly with University admission authorities, the College administration, faculty members, and student volunteers.

The inaugural session was graced by Prof. Rama, Principal, Hansraj College; Prof. Haneet Gandhi, Dean , University of Delhi; Prof. Anand Sonkar, Joint Dean , University of Delhi; and Prof. Vijay Rani Rajpal, Vice-Principal, Hansraj College. On the second day, Prof. Anita Bansal, Joint Dean , University of Delhi, joined the programme alongside Prof. Anand Sonkar, continuing to guide students and parents on various aspects of the admission process.

Welcoming the participants, Prof. Rama highlighted the rich legacy of Hansraj College and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, research, inclusivity, and holistic student development. She encouraged aspiring students to pursue higher education with intellectual curiosity, ethical responsibility, and a lifelong commitment to learning.

A comprehensive presentation showcased the College’s academic programmes, distinguished faculty, research ecosystem, state-of-the-art laboratories, Central Library, innovation spaces, student societies, international collaborations, sports infrastructure, cultural achievements, and student support initiatives. Particular emphasis was placed on the advanced laboratory facilities and research opportunities available across the science departments.

During the admission guidance sessions, Prof. Haneet Gandhi provided a detailed overview of the Common Seat Allocation System , explaining programme preferences, seat allocation procedures, and important admission guidelines. Prof. Anita Bansal and Prof. Anand Sonkar further addressed participants over the two days, offering practical insights into programme selection, academic planning, and the admission process while encouraging students to make informed choices aligned with their interests and career aspirations.

One of the major highlights of Campus Connect 2026 was the interactive question-and-answer session, where students and parents engaged directly with the University admission experts and the College leadership. Participants sought guidance on programme selection, admission procedures, scholarships, hostel facilities, internships, placements, research opportunities, student support services, and campus life. The session enabled aspirants to receive authentic and reliable information directly from the University’s admission authorities.

The formal proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Vijay Rani Rajpal, who expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests, faculty members, staff, student volunteers, parents, and aspiring students for their enthusiastic participation and contribution to the success of the initiative.

Following the formal sessions, participants were taken on guided campus tours across both days, exploring classrooms, advanced laboratories, the Central Library, seminar halls, sports facilities, innovation spaces, botanical gardens, and other key academic landmarks. Faculty members and student volunteers accompanied the visitors, offering valuable insights into the institution’s academic culture, student life, and the diverse opportunities available at Hansraj College.
