Mumbai, India,6th March 2024 – Burlington English, a leading publisher and provider of children’s educational resources in India has been recognized by the national and core committee of the Association for Preparatory Education and Research (APER) for its Exemplary Work in Children’s Publications. The prestigious award ceremony took place in Mumbai and was graced by Shri. Suraj D. Mandhare (IAS), Hon’ble Commissioner (Education), Maharashtra State, who presented the award to Amit Baveja, Managing Director of Burlington English for India and Southeast Asia. Renowned personalities, including Dr. Swaroop Sampat Rawal (actor and author) and Dr. Swati Popat Vats (President of the Early Childhood Association of India), also attended the event, acknowledging Burlington English’s significant contributions to education in the developmental years.

Amit Baveja, while receiving the award on behalf of Burlington English, expressed his gratitude, saying, “We are deeply honoured to be recognised by APER. The award ceremony was followed by a panel discussion on the ‘Importance of Research-Based Curriculum Support for Teachers.’ Burlington English’s Director of Publishing, Leena Singh, expressing her views during the spirited discussion on the scope of flexibility while integrating NCF-prescribed tools in any institution-recommended curriculum, stated, “The National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage (NCFFS) 2022 serves as a guiding light for educators. Organizations like ECA and Burlington English can contribute immensely to upskilling educators. We consider children the focal point of learning, with teachers at the heart of it.”
