21st November 2023: New Delhi: Tsuyo Manufacturing Private Limited (Tsuyo) in India has signed a deep cooperation agreement with Suzhou LvKON Transmission Technology Co., Ltd. (LvKON) in China on providing technology and design along with high-power solutions for various for the Indian BEVs (battery electric vehicles) and HEVs (hybrid electric vehicles)market, The agreement signed on September 20, 23 at LvKON headquarters in Suzhou, China, highlighted the collaboration and support on multiple projects across all mature and evolving platforms widely used in China and other countries.
As part of this collaboration, Tsuyo LVKON plans to launch product solutions such as Direct Drive Motor (DM), Transmission Electric Drive (TED), Integrated Starting and Generating Motor (IM), Continuous Electric Drive (CED), and Super Transmission Bridge (STEA) in 2024. BEV and Parallel Hybrid Drive (PHD), Multi-Mode Hybrid Drive (MHD), and Continuous Hybrid Drive (CHD) on the HEV side.

Tsuyo has secured the 2nd highest seed investment globally in Electric Motor space for $12.0 million from Indian Automotive Tier-I company, M/s RKFL. Tsuyo has recently added new product lines to its company’s product basket, such as motor solutions for electric forklifts and small excavators, the first Indian PMSM motor for commercial cargo transport vehicles (such as TATA ACE electric conversion), and PMSM solutions for tractors in S1 and S2 duty cycles with the best performance turnaround. M/s RKFL, will soon support the launch of Tsuyo’s larger third manufacturing plant for N1 customers. The first phase has a production capacity of approximately 5000 units per year, and in the future, it will expand to 30000 units to meet the SOP of existing OEM manufacturers in the N1 category within 3 years.
Despite its short tenure, Tusyo places great emphasis on research and development plans and new product design, and with the support of M/s RKFL, the company will soon launch transmission and axle solutions in 2024. In the Indian market, since its establishment, Tsuyo has been a key player in the field of mid-range motor and drives (direct drive motors) for various applications. As a new Indian motor startup, it ranks first, enjoying a year-on-year increase of 300%, serving over 50 OEM customers, across different market segments such as L3, L5, and N1. On December 23 of this year at the Electric Vehicle Expo, the company will showcase their first Indian made L3, L5, and L2 transmission and axle solutions (as integrated 2-in-1 and 3-in-1) to end users.
