T.E.A.C.H. National Center Appoints Beth Ann Lang to Advisory Committee

Child Care Aware of Missouri’s Chief Program Officer to serve on T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood National Advisory Committee.

(St. Louis, Mo., Sept. 6, 2024) Beth Ann Lang, Chief Program Officer at Child Care Aware of Missouri (CCAMO), was appointed to the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood National Advisory Committee. Her three-year term involves advising the center on policy and protocol recommendations.

The T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood National Center focuses on developing, implementing, and sustaining programs that ensure a well-educated, compensated, and stable early childhood workforce to ensure the long-term success of the nation’s children in school and in life.

Lang’s responsibilities include promoting the expansion of T.E.A.C.H. MISSOURI, which offers college scholarships to childcare educators across Missouri to strengthen the childcare workforce through increased compensation and retention. Lang also has the vision to one day offer similar scholarships to those in high school who desire a degree in early childhood and education. The Advisory Committee concentrates on national strategies to improve education and compensation for the early childhood workforce, guiding policy development and promoting policies that uphold the integrity of the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood National Center.

Lang has more than 30 years of experience in early childhood, adult education and professional development. She has been with CCAMO for 23 years, overseeing training, technical assistance, and scholarship programs throughout Missouri. Since 2001 she has directed T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Missouri Scholarship, a statewide program aimed at increasing quality child care through education, compensation, and commitment.

CCAMO holds the exclusive statewide license for the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Missouri Scholarship Program. More than 2,600 scholarships have been awarded across Missouri since the nonprofit’s inception.

Founded in 1999, Child Care Aware of Missouri is a statewide nonprofit that focuses on a comprehensive early childhood education experience through impactful programs and partnerships.
