Mumbai, July 9: Beyond The Curve by VIRGIO, India’s fastest-growing curvy fashion brand, has completed one year since its launch, marking a significant milestone in India’s curvy fashion landscape. Co-created by VIRGIO with actress Anjali Anand, Beyond The Curve was born from a simple yet powerful question: why should trend-led style stop at a certain size?
Over the past 12 months, the brand has grown into one of the most exciting new voices in curvy fashion, with over 30,000 customers, ₹25 crore ARR, and a 100K+ Instagram community. The milestone marks a strong first year for the trend-first curvy fashion brand, built around the belief that women should not have to choose between clothes that fit and clothes they genuinely want to wear.
As part of its first birthday celebration, Beyond The Curve also hosted a Birthday Sale as a give-back to the community that has shaped and supported the brand through its first year. The sale garnered strong love and response from customers, reflecting the deep connection the brand has built with women who have embraced its trend-first approach to curvy fashion.
To celebrate its first birthday, Beyond The Curve also hosted a weekend celebration at VIRGIO’s Infiniti Mall, Malad store on July 4th and 5th. The event brought together customers, creators, and the brand’s co-creator Anjali Anand to mark a year of dressing with confidence, individuality, and style.
The celebrations will continue with a special Birthday Drop going live on July 9th, featuring hundreds of new styles designed for curvy women. With this drop, Beyond The Curve continues its commitment to bringing fresh, contemporary fashion to extended sizes with the same speed, relevance, and design intent as mainstream trend-led fashion.
Over the past year, Beyond The Curve has built its identity around a simple belief: women should not have to choose between clothes that fit and clothes they genuinely want to wear. Today, the brand offers trend-led styles in sizes up to 6XL, spanning everyday essentials, elevated separates, occasion-ready silhouettes, and contemporary statement pieces. Its focus has remained on making fashion more accessible, expressive, and relevant for women across sizes.
The anniversary celebration reflected that spirit. Guests explored the latest edits from the collection, interacted with Anjali Anand, and spent the weekend doing what fashion is ultimately about: trying something new, finding pieces that feel like themselves, and celebrating style without limitations.
“I’ve always believed confidence begins with feeling comfortable in what you wear. Beyond The Curve has always been about making women feel seen, not just sized. Watching so many women embrace the brand, style it in their own way, and make it part of their everyday confidence has been incredibly special. This first year is only the beginning, and I’m excited to see this journey continue,” said Anjali Anand, actress and co-creator, Beyond The Curve by VIRGIO.
Beyond the celebrations, the milestone also marked a moment to reflect on the journey of the brand and its continued focus on making trend-led fashion more accessible across sizes. In a market where extended-size fashion has often been underserved or treated as an afterthought, Beyond The Curve has focused on bringing the same freshness, variety, and design intent to curvy fashion that consumers expect from contemporary fashion brands.
“When we started Beyond The Curve, we weren’t trying to create a separate category. We were questioning why it had to exist in the first place. Fashion moves fast, trends change every week, but women wearing extended sizes have often had fewer choices. The response over the past year has only reinforced what we believed from day one: women don’t want different fashion, they want access to the same fashion. That is the direction we will continue building towards,” said Amar Nagaram, Founder & CEO, VIRGIO and Beyond The Curve.
The first year of Beyond The Curve has been shaped by the women who have embraced the brand and made it their own. As it looks ahead, Beyond The Curve will continue to evolve through fresh drops, contemporary silhouettes, and a continued commitment to ensuring that fashion remains expressive, trend-led, and accessible across sizes.
