New Delhi, Aug 13: India’s automobile industry recorded its strongest-ever July sales, with passenger vehicles, two-wheelers and three-wheelers registering robust growth, according to the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

Domestic passenger vehicle dispatches from companies to dealers increased 34.3 per cent year-on-year to 4,57,810 units in July 2026, compared with 3,40,772 units in July 2025.
The two-wheeler segment also witnessed strong growth, with sales rising 22.6 per cent to 19,23,483 units in July, compared with 15,69,120 units in the same month last year.
Three-wheeler dispatches increased 33.4 per cent to 92,560 units, against 69,403 units in July 2025.
SIAM Director-General Rajesh Menon said the industry delivered its strongest-ever July performance, with double-digit growth across passenger vehicles, three-wheelers and two-wheelers.
The strong performance comes as the automobile industry enters the festive season, with consumer sentiment and demand remaining positive. The sustained growth across major vehicle categories signals continued momentum in the domestic automobile market.
The record July figures provide a positive outlook for the industry as manufacturers and dealers prepare for the upcoming festive period.
