Emirates brings global engineering recruitment drive to Mumbai and New Delhi

India, July 17: Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, is continuing to scout for talent thought its global recruitment drive. The airline is looking for skilled engineering professionals and organising dedicated recruitment roadshows in two key India cities in Mumbai and New Delhi between 21-25 July. The airline is inviting experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineers to explore career opportunities with Emirates Engineering and join one of the aviation industry’s most advanced engineering teams. The role is based at the airline’s hub – the vibrant and dynamic city of Dubai.

The in-person recruitment events will take place on 21-22 July in Mumbai and 24-25 July in New Delhi and it will offer candidates the opportunity to meet Emirates recruiters and engineering representatives and discuss more about the role, salary, benefits, recruitment process, and also gain insights into living and working in Dubai. The successful candidates will become part of Emirates Engineering, one of the world’s largest and most sophisticated aircraft maintenance organisations, responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and operational excellence of the airline’s fleet.

World-class Infrastructure

Emirates’ new engineering facility at Dubai South will span a staggering 1.1 million square metres, making it one of the largest buildings in the world by volume and the largest steel structure in the GCC. The facility will also feature the world’s only hangar complex with the ability to simultaneously service 28 wide-body aircraft and two painting hangars. Other notable features of the mega-facility include

  • The largest free-span hangar in the world at a width of 285 metres

  • The largest dedicated landing gear workshop in the world

  • 77,000 sq. metres of dedicated workshop space for repairs and maintenance

  • 380,000 sq. metres of storage and logistics capacity

  • Two state of the art paint hangars to service Emirates’ fleet of wide-body aircraft with extended capacity to also handle narrow body aircraft.

Construction of the facility is expected to be completed by middle of 2030 and the hangar complex will initially start servicing aircraft requiring heavy maintenance and spillover projects from the Emirates Engineering Centre at Dubai International Airport .

Emirates Engineering is among the world’s most technologically advanced aircraft maintenance facilities. GCAA CAR V approved, Emirates Engineering supports the airline’s fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft, which are the world’s largest. and the fleet of 30 other airlines through third-party maintenance contracts.

Licensed aircraft engineers

With extensive experience and skills in base maintenance, line maintenance, and overhaul workshops, the role entails routine servicing and detailed heavy maintenance of Emirates’ fleet of its brand new A350s along with A380s and B777s. These engineers may also be responsible to service aircraft from other global airlines.
