Fortis Gurugram Hosts Women’s Health Awareness Session

Gorakhpur, July 1, 2024: Fortis Hospital Gurugram, in association with the Inner Wheel Club and the State Women’s Health initiative by the Uttar Pradesh Government, proudly organized a crucial awareness session dedicated to women’s health. The event saw the convergence of prominent healthcare professionals who addressed various aspects of women’s health, aiming to educate and empower women in managing their health effectively.

Present at the event were distinguished medical experts from Fortis Hospital Gurugram, including Dr. Rahul Bhargava, Principal Director & Chief of Haematology; Dr. Rohit Goel, Consultant Cardiologist; and Dr. Rinkesh Bansal, Additional Director of Gastroenterology. Their presence and insightful contributions underscored the importance of comprehensive healthcare for women.

Dr. Rahul Bhargava, Principal Director & Chief of Haematology, emphasized the critical role of blood health in overall wellness. He stated, “Women’s health encompasses a range of conditions, and maintaining healthy blood levels is fundamental. Regular check-ups and early diagnosis of blood-related disorders can prevent severe health complications and improve quality of life.”

Dr. Rohit Goel, Consultant Cardiologist, spoke about the importance of lifestyle choices in maintaining heart health. He noted, “Women often neglect their own health while caring for others. It is crucial for women to prioritize heart health through balanced nutrition, regular exercise, and routine screenings to prevent heart diseases and ensure long-term wellbeing.”

Dr. Rinkesh Bansal, Additional Director of Gastroenterology, highlighted the importance of digestive health in women. He stated, “Digestive health is a critical aspect of overall wellbeing for women. Conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome and gastrointestinal reflux are more prevalent in women and can significantly impact daily life. Awareness, early diagnosis, and proper management are essential to maintain a healthy digestive system and improve quality of life.”

The awareness session included interactive discussions, informative presentations, and a Q&A segment where attendees could engage directly with the experts. The collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club and State Women’s Health (UP Govt) aimed to extend the reach of this essential information to a broader audience, ensuring that women across various demographics are informed and empowered to take charge of their health.
