The Ba***ds of Bollywood, a take on the entertainment industry by debutant director Aryan Khan, premiered recently. The cast of the show, including Lakshya, Bobby Deol, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, and Sahher Bambba, spoke with IMDb in an exclusive interaction about their real-life Bollywood moments and career highlights.
Highlighting a real-life Bollywood-like incident, Lakshya revealed, “I had gone for an audition. There was a page of dialogue between Ranveer Singh and a boy. I had memorized Ranveer’s lines. When I went for the audition, the casting executive started narrating his lines. I was wondering why he did that. He then mentioned that those are Ranveer’s lines and my lines are of the ‘boy’. I returned the script and asked him, ‘why should I be the boy?’ This attitude is with me till today.”
Raghav Juyal shared, “I had auditioned for a film many years back. I got through and started the preparation. Signing was due. Suddenly, I stopped getting their calls. After a while, they called and said that they were looking for a big face. I jokingly said, “I’ll eat a lot for a big face and let’s meet next time.”
Sahher Bambba mentioned, “Growing up, I watched a lot of Koffee With Karan. Everyone would talk about how reaching the fourth floor and meeting Aditya Chopra is a very big deal. It rarely happens and no one knows where he sits. For me, I got to go there and then be launched by him, that was my biggest Bollywood moment.”
Speaking of a career highlight from the show, Bobby Deol shared, “For me, it was my first day on set, being directed by Aryan Khan. That was a special moment for me because I was facing the camera and being directed by Shah Rukh Khan’s son. It was an amazing experience for me.”
