HMIL introduces New HX8 Diesel AT Variant at INR 13 69 900
Bengaluru, Mar 15: Hyundai Motor India Limited on Saturday announced that its compact SUV Hyundai Venue has crossed 1 lakh bookings, marking a key milestone for the model in the competitive compact SUV segment.
To further strengthen the lineup, the company also introduced a new HX8 Diesel Automatic (AT) variant, aimed at offering enhanced convenience and performance for Indian customers.
Powered by the U2 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, the new variant is designed to deliver improved driving comfort along with strong diesel performance, the company said.
The HX8 Diesel AT variant comes equipped with several comfort, safety and technology features, including front-row ventilated seats, dual-tone leatherette seats with Venue branding, electric 4-way driver seat adjustment, electric parking brake with auto hold, rear disc brakes and ambient lighting.
It also features Hyundai Bluelink connected car technology, controller over-the-air (OTA) updates, drive mode selection (Eco, Normal, Sport), traction control modes for Sand, Mud and Snow, and paddle shifters, the company added.
Commenting on the milestone, Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai Motor India Limited, said the strong booking numbers reflect the trust customers place in the brand.

He added that the introduction of the HX8 Diesel Automatic variant strengthens the Venue portfolio by offering customers a combination of diesel efficiency, torque-rich performance and driving convenience.
Backed by Hyundai’s extensive sales and service network across India, the Venue continues to be a strong contender for customers seeking a feature-rich and technologically advanced compact SUV, the company said.
The automaker added it remains focused on expanding its product portfolio with advanced technology, safety and comfort features to meet evolving consumer preferences in the Indian market.
