GREENBELT, Md. — Center for Vein Restoration (CVR), the nation’s largest physician-led organization dedicated exclusively to venous and lymphatic care, has opened a new clinic in The Woodlands, Texas, bringing its national footprint to more than 130 clinics across 23 states.
The expansion comes as chronic venous insufficiency has entered the national conversation following the White House’s 2025 disclosure that President Donald Trump had been diagnosed with the condition. Yet CVI affects more than one in four U.S. adults, many of whom continue to dismiss symptoms such as leg heaviness, swelling and cramping as a normal part of aging.
The new clinic is led by H. Andrew Hansen II, MD, a triple board-certified vascular specialist with more than 40 years of surgical experience and more than 15,000 cardiovascular, thoracic and vascular procedures. Dr. Hansen also continues to see patients at CVR’s existing Houston clinic.

The Woodlands opening is the latest step in CVR’s rapid national expansion. Less than three months ago, the organization expanded into the Pacific Northwest through its partnership with Inovia Vein Specialty Centers, adding six clinics in Oregon and Washington. On July 23, 2026, CVR welcomed Munster, Indiana’s Region Vein and its founder, Demetrios J. Karamichos, MD, RPVI, RVT, DABVLM, to the CVR network. CVR also opened new clinics earlier this year in Irving, Texas, and Canton, Georgia.
CVR’s continued expansion reflects the organization’s focus on bringing specialized vein and lymphatic care to more communities nationwide.
