Polymatech Showcases India’s First Fully Regulated Indigenous Vein Finder at Odisha Medical Expo 2026

Bhubaneswar, Feb 14: Polymatech Electronics Limited, a technology-driven manufacturer of opto-semiconductors, advanced electronics, and integrated technology products, is participating in the Odisha Medical Devices Expo at Baramunda Exhibition Ground from February 13–15, 2026. At Stall No. H6, the company is demonstrating its indigenous Vein Finder, marking a significant step in India’s transition from import dependence toward domestically developed high-technology products.

Polymatech’s Vein Finder is the first Indian-manufactured device in its category to meet key domestic and international regulatory benchmarks. The system has been registered under the Medical Devices Rules, 2017 as a Class A (non-sterile, non-measuring) medical device by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), representing a key milestone in India’s indigenous medical device ecosystem. In addition, the device has been registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and is CE compliant under the EU Low Voltage Directive, supporting its readiness for global markets. The Vein Finder also received international exposure following its unveiling at CES 2026 in Las Vegas.

Designed in collaboration with healthcare professionals, the Vein Finder projects high-contrast, real-time vein images directly onto the patient’s skin to support accurate venous access. The system is intended to reduce multiple needle puncture attempts, improve procedural efficiency, and enhance patient comfort. The device is suitable for a wide range of clinical environments, including emergency departments, paediatric care, dialysis centres, oncology units, and other difficult-access patient groups.

The Vein Finder is powered by Polymatech’s indigenously developed Near-Infrared (NIR) LED platform, built on the company’s semiconductor expertise and ongoing NIR chip development initiatives since 2021.

All Polymatech medical devices are manufactured at the company’s facility in Oragadam, Greater Chennai, under a comprehensive and audited quality framework, including:

  • ISO 13485:2016 certification for medical device manufacturing
  • ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification
  • ISO 45001:2018 occupational health and safety certification
  • ISO 14001:2015 environmental management certification

These systems support reliable domestic deployment and structured global regulatory expansion.

In addition to the Vein Finder, the company is showcasing advanced medical lighting solutions and its dental curing system, which was unveiled at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. Building on its semiconductor and optoelectronic platforms, Polymatech is also progressing a broader portfolio that includes red light therapy systems, precision audio measurement instruments, and a range of surgical and clinical electronic equipment.

This portfolio reflects Polymatech’s transition from a specialised semiconductor manufacturer to a diversified technology company delivering integrated products across multiple sectors.

“Our participation at the Odisha Medical Expo reflects Polymatech’s commitment to building globally compliant, indigenous technology platforms,” said Mr. Eswara Rao Nandam, Managing Director and CEO, Polymatech Electronics Limited. “With CDSCO registration, international quality systems, and our semiconductor foundation, we aim to deliver high-reliability products manufactured in India while progressing towards structured expansion across global markets.”
