Mumbai, Feb 5: Mahanagar Gas Limited one of India’s largest City Gas Distribution companies, participated in India Energy Week 2026, held from 27 January to 30 January 2026 in Goa. MGL’s stall, showcasing its diverse business verticals, was inaugurated by Shri Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman, Mahanagar Gas Limited, in the presence of Shri Ashu Shinghal, Managing Director, Shri Ajay Sinha, Deputy Managing Director, along with other senior officials of the company.

During the four-day event, MGL highlighted key milestones and initiatives across its PNG, CNG, LNG, CBG and Electric Mobility verticals, underscoring its role in strengthening India’s energy infrastructure and expanding access to cleaner and more efficient energy solutions for mobility, households and industries.
The company showcased its operations across its licensed geographical areas, including Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Latur and Osmanabad in Maharashtra, and Chitradurga and Davanagere in Karnataka, while presenting its diversified portfolio of Piped Natural Gas Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). Key attractions at the stall included the actual battery cell developed for two-wheelers and three-wheelers, displays on electric vehicles, and Compressed Biogas (CBG), reflecting MGL’s diversified initiatives and commitment to cleaner energy access.
India Energy Week 2026 also provided a strategic platform to advance MGL’s focus on LNG, with engagements across the LNG value chain. During the event, MGL exchanged a Master Sales Agreement with GAIL for RLNG sourcing and held discussions to explore additional avenues for LNG procurement.
Recognised as India’s leading global energy platform under the patronage of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, the fourth edition of India Energy Week brought together policymakers, global energy leaders, corporates, decision-makers and industry experts to drive conversations on energy transition and shape the next phase of global energy progress.

India Energy Week 2026 witnessed participation from over 75,000 energy professionals and 700 exhibitors from more than 120 countries, featuring thematic zones, executive roundtables and leadership sessions aimed at shaping global energy strategies and deepening international collaboration.
