Over its first two editions, Khele Sanand brought together students from more than 90+ schools across Sanand Taluka and surrounding areas, engaging thousands of young players in disciplines such as Kabaddi, Kho Kho and Volleyball. Season 2 alone highlighted the sheer scale and ambition of the initiative, with more than 450+ matches played across categories and participation from 443 teams and over 2,500 athletes. Kabaddi Boys(U14) featured 85 teams and 1,020 players competing in 198 matches, while Kho Kho Girls (U14) saw 79 teams with 948 players across 168 matches. In the open categories, 27 Kabaddi teams with 324 players played 49 matches, and 21 Volleyball teams with 252 players played 28 matches.

These numbers not only demonstrate the enthusiasm for traditional sports but also underline Khele Sanand’s role in creating equal opportunities for all. A particularly significant outcome has been the surge in female participation, with a 400 percent increase in girls joining Kho Kho, alongside a 39 percent rise in total team registrations compared to the inaugural edition. The league has become a platform that nurtures discipline, teamwork, and resilience, while at the same time encouraging communities to rally around their youth.

As it looks ahead, Khele Sanand continues to build on its legacy of grassroots empowerment. The much-anticipated Season 3 is set to launch on 17th September, expanding to new venues and enhanced facilities to provide even greater opportunities for young athletes. Running through April 2026, this upcoming season will carry forward the spirit of participation and inclusivity that has defined the league since its inception.
